Lizzie Starr '05 in Senegal....

Ann Starr (Parent of Alum), mother of Lizzie Starr '05, wrote to us with an update: "I visited Lizzie recently in Dakar, Senegal where she's in the first year of a two-year contract teaching English at the West African College of the Atlantic, an international baccalaureate high school.  She majored in French and African Studies at Beloit College; graduated in the spring, and headed straight for Dakar where she had spent her junior semester abroad. She's fluent in French and Wolof, a native dialect, and manages her life very well there at all social levels.  Lizzie frequently takes in couch surfers who are traveling through Dakar."
