Volunteer Opportunities at CSW

Class Agent: Class Agents are the primary link between the Alumni Office and members of their graduating class. Agents write two letters per year, 1) soliciting for the CSW Annual Fund, and 2) for class notes information to be published in the Gryphon.

Class Reunion Committee: Every five years, each graduating class is honored at Reunion, held in May. While all alumni are invited and encouraged to attend each year, this is an opportunity for classmates to organize a special event dedicated to their class. Volunteers will plan, with the Alumni Office’s support, a class party, Reunion Weekend programming and a class gift initiative.  We especially celebrate what are known as "banner" or "milestone years" each year.  Milestone years are those class years ending in the number of this current year AND five years ago.  For example - Reunion 2008 milestone years are class years ending in 3 or 8.   

Alumni Regional Representatives: Regional Representatives help support the efforts of the alumni office by working together to increase activity in geographical regions across the country. Representatives are asked to contact fellow alumni to encourage attendance at events, serve on alumni committees, and support the Class Agent program.

Alumni Mentors: Want to share your experiences with a current student? We have many opportunities to come speak to students (Special Assembly, Class Guest Lecturer, Visiting Professor, and individual mentors).  Mentors agree to be contacted by students or other CSW alumni for various reasons, including advice and career counseling.

Admissions Volunteers: Admissions Volunteers are needed in areas outside of the Boston area to work in concert with Admissions staff to recruit and help interview prospective students and their families.

Archive and Library Volunteers: The CSW Library staff is always looking for alumni volunteers to help catalog and organize books and literature.
